CACTO is a free improvisation project between Nuno Torres on alto saxofone and Ricardo Jacinto on cello. Within an electroacoustic context they have developed a particular intrumental noisy dialogue strongly influenced by concrete and spectral musical.

Their first album was recorded in an Anechoic Chamber, a place where the musical/sound aesthetic of the project found its first site-specific recording context.

They have colaborated with other musicians such as Shiori Usui (voice), Manuel Mota (electric guitar), Ricardo Guerreiro (Electronics) and Aonghus McEvoy (guitar). “
